Our client is a well-established clinic that offer a comprehensive and complete primary care skin cancer service with a focus on early detection of level 1 melanoma. Additionally, they also provide ongoing surveillance in high-risk individuals by highly trained practitioners using sophisticated state of the art technology.
Reporting to the owner - practitioner, you will work in a supportive and agile small practice with a team of 4 staff members. They are seeking a Receptionist to join on a permanent basis.
About the Opportunity
The role has two main aspects: firstly, the running and managing of reception and secondly being an accurate and efficient medical typist.
This will be a dual role where you will not just oversee the front desk but also work closely with the medical practitioners to support with medical typist duties.
The reception duties will include meeting and greeting visitors to the clinic, answering incoming calls in a professional and timely manner, confirming appointments, and sending out reminders to patients, keeping patients details updated, billing for procedures, ensuring the waiting area is kept neat and tidy as well as the rest of the communal spaces and also conduct weekly office, kitchen and merchandise stock takes.
The medical typist duties will include but are not limited to, touch typing of clinical notes during consultations using short text, preparing test requests forms and medical certificates, the preparation of instruments and labeling of specimen pots, organising blood tests and maintain Excel spreadsheet.

You will be friendly, a fast learner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will be versed in MS Office and be comfortable handling patients’ samples and specimens.
