About Inner West Paediatrics

We are an established multidisciplinary practice that offers Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Feeding services for children throughout the Inner West area of Sydney, and we are seeking to expand our team.

Your duties will include: 

Our administration team are responsible for dynamic communication and organisation of support systems that enable the therapists of IWP to give their best to their clients, and ensure the clients have a seamless experience.

Our front of house team are often the first point of contact for our clients and represent the face of Inner West Paediatrics. We are looking for a warm, friendly professional who is highly organised, efficient and able to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines - and who is still happy to stop to give the children stickers and stamps!  

You will possess excellent communication skills, both on the phone, over email and in person. You will value compassion and care, for our therapists as well as for the clients of IWP and consider yourself to be “firm but fair” in all your dealings.

In your role, you will collaborate with other members of the administration team, our directors, our team of therapists and parents of clients. You will be a team player who enjoys problem-solving and creating solutions and processes.

You consider yourself to have excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, able to multi-task and complete tasks quickly and accurately, and possess a spirit of collaboration. 

About you: 

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems or Practice Management Software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with children and their families.
  • Knowledge of speech pathology and occupational therapy terminology is advantageous.

Essential requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (3 doses)
  • Previous experience in a comparable role
