About the role
An exciting opportunity has come up in our recruitment team. We are seeking to appoint a senior and experienced temp recruitment consultant to manage our established high-quality GP locum program. Drawing upon your past recruitment experience, you will embrace opportunities to demonstrate your customer service and client management expertise.
The RWAV Specialist GP Locum Program supports the retention of doctors in rural and regional Victoria by providing short-term locum relief for holidays, sickness, education leave, and to assist workforce shortages.
As the GP locum recruiter, you will be responsible for the management of this program which includes building and maintaining a pipeline of high-quality GP locums and managing RWAV sourced vacancies to provide short-term support for health services in rural communities across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Building and maintaining a pipeline of high-quality GPs
- Managing and administering all contracts, agreements, credentialing, compliance requirements related to each placement in consultation with stakeholders such as Victorian medical practices, the GP Locum, Medicare etc
- Registering, promoting and maintaining GP locum vacancies on RWAV’s CRM, website and other relevant advertising media.
- Promoting RWAV’s GP locum services to eligible GPs, rural general practices and other relevant stakeholders.
- Managing all aspects of the GP Locum program’s budget in accordance with guidelines and delegations.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification
- Significant experience managing high volume temp/locum recruitment preferably with exposure to healthcare and/or related industries
- Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed written communication skills, including experience with report writing and development of program assessment and evaluation tools
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated experience in stakeholder liaison, collaboration and building positive relationships
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the specific health, cultural and social issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage high volume work and tight deadlines
- High level computing skills including a sound knowledge and experience using a CRM and Microsoft office suite
- Previous work experience in rural and regional health is desirable, but not essential.
