Fortune Well (Red Chilli) is a refined Chinese restaurant offering traditional and contemporary Chinese and Sichuan cuisines. We offer an extensive menu of fresh produce as well as a range of hot cooked dishes to stimulate your taste buds and are well known for our great service, friendly staff and delicious dishes.
We are now looking for a Chef experienced in Sichuan cuisines to join our team.
The Chef we are looking for will be responsible for the following roles and duties:
- Oversee the daily kitchen operation
- Responsible in the preparation of all foods as indicated in the menu
- Order stock and liaise with suppliers
- Constantly research, conceive and develop new food items and train staff in producing these items
- Maintain occupational, health and safety regulations and any other applicable laws
- Ensure that the highest level of freshness, innovation, courtesy and presentation of food and kitchen staff are provided to guests at all times
- Costs management and monitor and control resources
- Conflict and complaint resolution
- Keep record and document information
- Discuss food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
- Clean the work area and maintain a hygienic kitchen free from contamination at all times
- At least three years' experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Commercial Cookery qualification
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in Chinese cuisine and preparation of traditional and contemporary Sichuan food from fresh ingredients
