2. POSITION PURPOSE
The Regional Territory Sales and Business Manager drives the sales and margin improvement to meet company goals via the direct management of allocated accounts and delivers exceptional customer service. The role is responsible for recontracting and retaining all customers while maintaining the Brand as the best school wear company in the market. It leverages existing relationships to open new business opportunities, solicits new business and achieves overall budgets.
This role is important because it ensures the continual development of sales and services to new and existing customers and the delivery of commercially approved outcomes, without which they could not deliver great customer service and put smiles on the faces of students.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1. Business Management
- Formulates and implements short and long-term plans in line with strategic direction and managing delivery of targets
- Ensures all accounts are contracted and CRM / data is updated and always accurate
- Seeks and converts new business opportunities across all target markets
- Manages annual price increases and rebate calculations
- Ensures items are cleared or sold back when
o There are no slow-moving items
- Conducts Regular performance appraisals with customers
- Maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders within the region e.g. Principal, Assistant Principal, Business Manager
- Provides relevant and timely reports as directed
- Owns everything about the account “My Account, My Ownership”
- Cooperates and works well with others to achieve team and business goals
- Shares information and welcomes constructive advice and feedback from others
- Shows consideration, concern and respect for others’ feelings and ideas
- Seeks to understand different perspectives and cultures
- Demonstrates commitment to safety and ensures all safety practices are adhered to at all times
- Performs duties in accordance with relevant legislation, and company policies and procedures
- Brings to the attention of your manager any activity that has the potential to damage the reputation of the client or its stakeholders, and/or lead to legal issues
- Immediately reports and acts on any accidents and hazards
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date data in relevant systems e.g. AX, CRM, POS, ELMO
- Shares relevant data and information to inform business decisions
- Brings to the attention of your manager any concerns about data accuracy or insights that impact the business
- Undertakes other duties within the employee’s skills and experience as directed by the manager.
4.1. Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as an Account Manager with a track record of business-to-business sales in education or aligned organizations
- Strong commercial acumen and capability to navigate complex contracts while delivering customer service, quality and timeliness.
- A strong knowledge of CRM utilization and modern Account Management techniques
- Experience in textile, retail, logistics or manufacturing environment highly regarded
- Working With Children Permit and Police Check
- Positive and enthusiastic outlook, calm under pressure
- Team player who actively contributes to the achievement of goals within the immediate team and across the business as a whole
- Highly efficient, able to prioritise tasks and manage time autonomously
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
