This role will see you play a key part in fostering a leading HSE culture that is embedding safety everytime, with everyone in everything we do. You will apply leadership, specialist skills and HSE knowledge to the development and maintenance of a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment by supporting business stakeholders in implementing and monitoring HSE activities to continuously improve HSE outcomes. This includes using a range of HSE tools and processes to implement HSE programs and drive improvement including the implementation and monitoring of critical controls.
What you’ll do:
Lead and support the development and implementation of a systems approach to HSE including providing accurate and timely HSE advice
Lead and support key influencers, including managers and on methods to foster and monitor a positive HSE culture
Lead development of HSE risk management processes and facilitate and support their implementation and maintenance
Lead processes for monitoring and measurement of HSE performance
Implement, monitor and evaluate processes and procedures to investigate, analyse and report on incidents and nonconformities indicating failures or inadequacies of controls
Mentor operations personnel to participate in incident investigations
Implement processes for knowledge collection and management to enable positive HSE outcomes including collecting and keeping up to date relevant internal and external HSE information
Communicate, engage with and influence people and project managers, and workers to mitigate risk and optimise worker health and safety and environmental performance
Manage injury/illness and claims management
Manage others in delivery of HSE Services
About you:
Previous work experience within a similar industry and/or risk profile
Approximately 10 years' plus experience in a HSE role but open to consider candidates with suitable experience
Communicating and presenting information
Problem solving and critical thinking
Engagement and relationship building
Knowledge management
Negotiation and management of conflict
Project management and management of change
HSE technical skills (e.g. training, auditing, investigation, etc)
Cert IV/Diploma in OH&S
Tertiary Qualification in HSE (desirable)
