As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
ROLE SUMMARY: The Regional Learning and Development Support Officer will assist with course administration and logistical duties as required by the Regional Learning and Development teams, to assist in improving efficiencies in service delivery. This includes but not limited to, distribution of course information to successful nominations, booking venues, catering, administration of third-party training providers and processing of purchase orders and invoices. This role has a particular emphasis on organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines, follow timelines, maintain accurate records, and efficiently undertake administrative procedures.
The Victoria State Emergency Service plays a major role in Victoria's emergency response activities during emergencies for which it is responsible including Flood, Storm, Earthquake, Tsunami, Landslide, along with supporting other agencies and departments as required under section 6A of the VICSES Act. Employees can be directly employed for these roles or may be called upon to support emergency response activities as required following appropriate training and suitability assessment.
