As our Regional Project Manager, you’ll lead the development and execution of capital projects in support of the MW Australia ambitions to improve Asset Health, Equipment efficiency, Sustainability and Brand Growth.
As part of a Regional Engineering team, we support two sites; Ballarat, VIC and Asquith, NSW.
This is achieved through owning project write-ups in line with the site and region’s operational and strategic plans.
You will be also responsible for project engineering and management, co-ordination, standardisation, and innovation to meet the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Through collaboration with the Industrial Engineering team, this role will be responsible for a fixed period of time for the development of project write-ups
- As a Regional Project Manager, you will establish the project team and execute Capital Projects within budget, on time and with high quality:
- Be responsible for developing Engineering related supply solutions and initiating projects that adhere to Engineering Standards (“Engineering Work Process” or “EWP”) and Best Practices, are Lean, Sustainable and with a business wide perspective and cross functional considerations
- Be responsible for Safety and Q&FS during project execution ;
- Coordinate cross functional project teams and secure project support and resources.
- Support the Factories and projects with technical challenges, technology strategy/direction, design and engineering solutions from internal and external sources.
- Manage a number of CAB projects simultaneously ;
- As a member of the larger GEM Region Engineering team, be actively involved in and contribute to the Global Engineering Standardisation and within Communities of Practice (CoP)
- Provide engineering guidance to other departments and train less experienced engineers on growing technical competencies and filling pipeline of engineering talent
- Active involved in team engagement, team building, etc.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in an engineering function.
- Experience within the food industry is considered an advantage
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering alternatively, relevant experience as a project manager or in industrial engineering
- Proven strong project management skills and functional competencies
- Good track record in delivering multi-million AUD Capital projects
- Experienced in managing and building effective project teams made up of cross functional team members
- Solid interpersonal skills in providing effective communication to management and other key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to articulate strong business case
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing
