THE ROLE

• Full time Part time, and Casual vacancies available for an experienced Registered Nurse within Macquarie University Hospital, as part of MQ Health.

We are excited to announce multiple job openings for experienced Orthopaedic Theatre Nurses as we expand our state-of-the-art perioperative services. We offer various employment options to suit your lifestyle, including full-time, part-time, and casual positions. Our facility operates from Monday to Saturday, with 8 to 10-hour shift patterns featuring staggered start times for optimal work-life balance. Additionally, our convenient location on the MQ University campus, just 400 metres from public transport makes it even better.

About You

You will be a Registered or Enrolled Nurse with demonstrated experience within Anaesthetics& Recovery/Scrub Scout or Day Surgery (Orthopaedic experience highly desirable). You have a demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective relationships with key stakeholders. You are experienced in effectively working within in a team and you possess professional maturity, adaptability and a positive attitude.

• Current AHPRA registration for Registered /Enrolled Nurse

• At least 1 year’s recent clinical nursing experience in, Anaesthetics/Recovery, Scrub/Scout or Day Surgery theatres.

• Excellent communication skills

• Flexible with shift availabilities

• Well-developed computer skills including the use of electronic medical records systems, MQ Word, Excel and web-based research

• Demonstrated ability in assessing, planning and implementing preventative care approaches to health care

• High level of computer literacy

• Proven ability to establish sound relationships with peers and clients using a customer service focus

• Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment

• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative

• Ability to work independently and within a team
