Registered Nurse

The Opportunity:
MWT Australia is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a prominent aged care organization in Regional Victoria. As an RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality healthcare services to residents while ensuring their well-being and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with best practices, clinical guidelines, and individual care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records.
• Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans.

Communication:

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain clear and concise medical records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues.

Patient Advocacy:

• Advocate for residents' rights, dignity, and well-being.
• Foster a compassionate and respectful environment for residents.

Quality Assurance:

• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards and regulations.

Emergency Response:

• Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response protocols.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
• AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse Division 1
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
• Empathy, patience, and a commitment to providing holistic care
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in aged care or a related healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
