Position: Registered Nurse

Salary: $69,000 to $92,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced full-time registered Nurse to join their Aged Care Centre which provides 24-hour professional and personal care in a purpose-built community, where residents are cared for with kindness and supported to live connected lives. With dedicated care neighbourhoods and specialist programs, personalises the care experience for every resident.
Tasks required include:
- Responsible for the delivery of person centred care for residents/clients
- Lead the multidisciplinary team and coordinate work /duties for Aged Care Employees, including delegation of tasks within their scope of practice
- Lead the them to ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect, whilst maintaining their identity and supporting them to make informed choices in regards to their care and services
- Coordinate and participate in case conferences and evaluate assessments/ care plans as required in partnership with residents and their representatives
- Undertake full clinical assessments, required documentation and escalate concerns
- Adhere to the Aged Care Quality Systems Framework, ACFI/AN-ACC reporting, NDIS Practice Standards, Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS), all other legislative and organisational requirements
- Report changes in residents' condition which may lead to an increase of ACFI/AN-ACC funding to Care Manager / ACFI/AN-ACC Coordinator
- Complete resident incident forms and associated assessments as per IRTs policies and procedures
- Respond to all clinical and non-clinical emergency situations as they arise, provide emergency treatment to residents and refer to relevant external agencies
- Adhere to the outbreak management plan and associated procedure
- Participate in Accreditation process including preparation and site visits
- Other duties as required by the manager/supervisor consistent with the role.
- Bachelor Degree in relevant field
- At least two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Post graduate qualification in a related discipline
- Current registration (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
- High level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, with evidence of capacity to document professionally
- Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standard Framework and the Aged Care Funding Instrument and Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and problem solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical issues of ageing, including dementia related disorders and management of challenging behaviours
- Demonstrate a proficiency using of computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel operating in a Microsoft Windows environment and clinical operating systems.
