Sydney Southwest is looking to employ Anaesthetics Registered Nurses for our Perioperative Unit
About us
Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is an 98 bed, 7 operating theatres acute surgical hospital that serves the needs of the local community at Liverpool and surrounds. Services provided include (but not limited to) General & Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Maternity and Special Care Nursery facilities, Oncology Unit as well as a Mental Health Unit.

As a Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver safe, researched-based standards of perioperative nursing care
- Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care
- Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
- Supervise, direct and support nursing team members
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Current unconditional Registration with AHPRA
- 2+ years relevant post registration experience in Anaesthetics
- Working with Children check
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Commitment to quality patient care
- Works independently and within a team
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional computer skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Post-graduate qualification in Anaesthetics or working towards
