SATH’s Perioperative suite performs a range of surgical specialties including interventional cardiology, vascular, orthopaedics, colorectal, general, urological, neurosurgical, gynaecological, plastics, ophthalmology and ENT. SATH’s perioperative suite includes the use of a Da Vinci Robot – the first within regional Australia to be purchased. The busy 11 room suite includes 5 standard operating rooms, a blue Olympus digital theatre, a Cardiac Catheterisation Lab and Hybrid Vascular Lab. Three procedure rooms, a 28-bay PACU and a CSSD complete the Perioperative suite.
About the Role:
SATH has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Perioperative team. Committed to providing a high level of quality health care to our patients, our Perioperative team are committed to ensuring a friendly work environment, flexible rostering, and a commitment to ongoing education opportunities within the unit.
Mandatory Qualification/ Professional Registration/ Other Requirements:
Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
Previous experience in Anaesthetics desired
Key Accountabilities:
Practice in accordance with the ACORN Standards, ANZCA Guidelines and St. Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital policy and procedures.
Ensure both clinical practice and professional standards are identified and maintained in the delivery of safe patient care.
Participate in a rotating ‘on call’ roster.
Demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team, whilst aiding the Anaesthetist.
Communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
Be proactive in own professional development and maintain competencies, identify learning needs and actively seek opportunities to expand skills and knowledge.
