Registered Nurse
Southern Highlands Private Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Day Oncology and/or Clinical Trials team in a Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time capacity!
About the Role
We are recruiting for staff in our Day Oncology unit as well as our Clinical Trials team.
The Southern Highlands Cancer Centre Day Oncology Unit has 8 chairs and provides a comprehensive service to Oncology patients within their local community. As a Registered Nurse in Day Oncology, you will work as part of a small team & be responsible for providing our patients with dedicated and specialised care in oncology, haematology & infusion services. You will be required to administer chemotherapy, blood products and other infusions. You will possess proficiency in cannulation as well as other types of vascular access.
The Clinical Trials team works closely in conjunction with our medical specialists to run a diverse range of Oncology Clinical Trials onsite. You will possess proficiency in cannulation as well as other types of vascular access and have previous experience working with Clinical Trials patients. Completed GCP certification would be beneficial to the role.
Applicants with skills in both Oncology & Clinical Trials would highly regarded, with the opportunity available to work across both areas.

About You
Both roles require a compassionate individual with suitable skills and competence to work as part of our Oncology / Clinical Trials team. To be successful you will have exceptional communication abilities and be dedicated to providing patient focused care.
You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Oncology or Clinical Trials
- Demonstrated competence in chemotherapy administration
- Current ADAC certificate
- Cannulation, portacath access and male/female catheterisations skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain good working relationships with others
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
- Post Graduate certificate in Oncology Nursing (Desirable)
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification or willingness to work towards certification
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE 68,033.68 - $95,500.08]
The Hospital
Southern Highlands Private Hospital provides 70 acute medical and surgical beds, as well as an extensive range of onsite rehabilitation and palliative care services for the community and beyond to the regional and rural areas. The Hospital has 4 Operating Theatres, a Procedure Room, a Day Surgery Unit and a Day Oncology Unit. The hospital is located in Bowral, adjacent to the public hospital.

Requirements
Everyone who joins Ramsay:
