The Position
St John of God Healthcare at Home (HAH) offers a range of out of hospital services including hospital substitution and acute and non-acute services delivered by a multidisciplinary care team of nurses, midwives, lactation consultants, allied health practitioners and support workers to assist clients recover at home after a hospital stay.
We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our dedicated oncology team as we enter an exciting phase of service development, with the growth and development of new service areas and extension of our footprint in WA. Pivotal to the service development opportunities is a strong interface with our St John of God hospitals and doctors.
Positions will be offered on a part time (minimum 28 hours per fortnight) working across the Perth metropolitan area. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, generally visiting clients between 8am to 6pm.
The successful candidate will have:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum three years post graduate experience in acute nursing.
- Demonstrated experience in the administration of chemotherapies (Chemotherapy Administration and Management Competency)and Infusions.
- Excellence communication and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently, and as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
- Flexibility with availability and rostering to meet the changing needs of our patient group.
- Current IV cannulation certification and CVAD experience.
- Complex Wound Management experience.
- Current WA Driver’s License.
