About the role
The public health nurse will implement disease control, surveillance and follow-up activities in relation to notifiable infectious diseases, in line with the NSWPublic Health Act, 2010.
The public health nurse will assist with outbreak management by providing communicable disease control advice, education and consultative service to other health professionals, members of the public, institutions, schools and child care centres.
We are looking for someone who…
Holds current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 licence acceptable).
Demonstrates the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Has excellent word processing skills and experience using databases.

This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030)
