About the Role
Opportunity currently exists for experienced Grade 2 Registered Nurses to join the St George's Dialysis Unit, Kew. You will be responsible for the delivery of expert nursing care and support to patients undergoing dialysis in an outpatient setting. You will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely within a friendly and supportive team environment. When necessary, you will be required to rotate onto the nocturnal dialysis shift and work at the Fitzroy Dialysis Unit.
You will also:
Provide the full range of nursing services
Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings about patients status and progress
Liaise with patients, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required
Complete Handover in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures
Administer medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
Actively participate and contribute to all departmental continuous improvement
Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum).
Your Contribution
Degree in nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Current Nursing Registration with APHRA
Minimum three years experience in haemodialysis nursing is essential
Post graduate Renal certificate is desirable
Recent experience with Fresenius Dialysis machine is essential
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About St George's Dialysis Unit
The St George's Dialysis service provides onsite outpatient haemodialysis for those patients experiencing chronic renal failure. It caters for a wide range of patient needs including nocturnal haemodialysis. The Dialysis Unit encourage ongoing professional development and promotes a standard of excellence in clinical nursing within a cohesive and flexible team.
