About the Role…
Become a valued member of the Burnside Hospital team and you will have the opportunity to engage in a twelve (12) month structured program that provides a supportive framework as a Registered Nurse during your first year of clinical practice.
The Program will see you working in our surgical/medical von Rieben and high dependency wards. With an outstanding reputation, some of the most skilled and well-regarded doctors and specialists in Adelaide, state-of-the-art equipment and modern facilities, Burnside Hospital is one of Adelaide's most popular private hospitals. You will work alongside experienced Nurses and will receive expert guidance and career development that will provide you with a strong foundation for your future in nursing.
The Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) will commence in February 2023 (date to be confirmed). During the 12 month structured program you can expect a supportive learning environment including a dedicated clinical educator on site internal & external study days. You will gain experience across an array of specialties including gynaecology, urology, orthopaedic, plastics & reconstructive, general, gastroenterology and ophthalmology nursing.

Essential skills & competencies:
- Completed Bachelor of Nursing in 2022
- Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to commencement
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with patients in a professional and confident manner
- Willingness to embrace and demonstrate the values of Burnside Hospital
- Flexible and proactive approach to work with a willingness to learn
