A rare opportunity has arisen with the Triage and Assessment Centre for a Registered Nurse on a Permanent Full Time basis.
The Triage and Assessment registered nurse will work collaboratively with ED, PECC, Access and inpatient staff across all settings triaging consumers ensuring they are assessed and treated in the most suited environment to meet their individualised needs

Selection Criteria to be addressed:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) including completion of a new graduate RN program in Mental Health and/ or experience working as a Registered Nurse in Mental Health.
- Demonstrated skills in mental health nursing assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within minimal direct clinical supervision.
- Proven effective high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to exercise independent professional judgement when solving problems.
- Working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers and carers regarding mental healthcare.
- An understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
