About the role
Our team at Gold Coast Private Hospital Private Hospital are on the lookout for cutting edge theatre nurses to join our Perioperative team on a part time basis, across the following specialities:
Cardiac
Spine
Orthopaedic
You'll be supported by great managers, be part of a strong, innovative team and have the opportunity to grow as you support our patient's either during or following their procedures.
As a Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:
Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
Deliver evidence based nursing care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

Specialities include and are not limited to: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. About you:
To be successful in your application, you will need to meet the requirements below:
Current Registration with AHPRA
1 year nursing experience in the desired speciality listed above
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Commitment to quality patient care
Works independently and within a team
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
