About the role
The Registered Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for the provision of clinical care within the SSWMHS under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner. The position requires knowledge of psychiatric principles and practices as within their scope of practice including decision making ability and initiative as part of an operational team member. You will be responsible for working through the continuum of care with a consumer focused approach and including other key stakeholders inclusive of recovery orientated plans and assistance with discharge planning.
We are looking for
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3+
- Ensure consumers, families/representatives or carers are provided with timely information and are involved in decision making about their care planning and treatment.
- Comply with best practice healthcare standards, legislation, and GV Health’s Clinical Governance Framework and clinical practice guidelines.

- Essential : A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check, Victorian 'Employee' Working with Children Check and completion of a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration will be required from prospective candidates prior to commencement of employment.
