We are currently recruiting permanent full-time and part-time Nurse Mentors (Registered Nurses).  

CaSPA Care is a residential aged care organisation providing quality care to the elderly. We currently operate two aged care homes, one located in South Melbourne and one located in Albert Park.

CaSPA care has moved away from the highly institutional medical based model of care to an exciting 'Household Model' that has our residents in a more home like environment.

About the Role

We currently have permanent full-time and part-time positions available. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Registered Nurse in Health Care or Aged Care. We are seeking Registered Nurses to work across a range of morning, afternoon, evening/night shifts over a 7-day week and at our aged care facilities located in South Melbourne and Albert Park. 

Duties include:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care needs for new and existing residents based on best practice, relevant policy and procedure while advocating for residents in directing their care and honoring their preferences
  • Promote Residents’ psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building, and work with the team to meet the social needs of the resident           
  • Carry out a wide range of person centre care in accordance with Resident’s Care Plan
  • Administer medication and wound management
  • Complete comprehensive clinical documentation
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership style and maintain positive resident/family, team, and external stakeholder relationships
  • Assist team members in maintaining the home in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times

The successful applicant will possess sound clinical skills and the ability to plan and implement appropriate care, be flexible and have a professional and friendly approach.

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Experience in an aged care environment (desirable)
  • Experience with iCare program and AN-ACC (ACFI) (advantageous)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team in addition to working independently
  • Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations (including booster)
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft office)
  • Working knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and the Aged Care Act 1997
  • NDIS Clearance (desirable)
