Our client is a remote, indigenous community located on the western side of the Cape York Peninsula. The community is rich in traditional cultural practices and renowned for its art & creative industries and wonderful fishing!!
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a switched-on and flexible individual to run their Community Center. This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational tasks in all areas of the Centre.
The main duties are:
- Setting up function rooms for bookings
- Coordinating community events
- Looking after the Pool and other facilities associated with the Centre
We are seeking an experienced and passionate candidate to fill this fantastic opportunity.
The successful applicant will have:
- Great organisational and communication skills
- Have previous experience in centre management, events planning, sports and recreation management or youth programming
- A real people person and team player
- Must have a current Blue Card
- A current “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- Police-check and medical will be required as well
