Reporting to the Head of People Operations & Reward, you will be responsible for creating engaging reward solutions that deliver on our reward strategy. In collaboration with business partners and SME teams you will design pragmatic solutions that drive commercial outcomes, with a core focus on building a reward framework that is motivating, engaging and easily understood as applied across the business.
What does the role involve?
The Remuneration & Reward Lead is responsible for remuneration, benefits and recognition for all David Jones employees including leading cyclical activities and providing reporting insights to the business.
This is a new role within the David Jones People Team providing an experienced reward professional with an opportunity to make this role their own and setting the reward framework up for success. The role will be responsible for:
Reviewing and improving current Reward frameworks, systems and processes
Supporting and co-ordinating the successful management of key remuneration processes, including the annual remuneration review, survey submission and market benchmarking exercises
Oversight and governance of David Jones grading framework including job evaluations using the Mercer CED Job Evaluation Model
Co-ordinate and support the execution of short-term incentive programs
Working closely with senior leaders to provide recommendations to remuneration and reward decisions
Being the reward SME and escalation point for People Assist and People Partner queries
Governance and maintenance of key remuneration data across payroll and other People systems
Supporting the reporting and analytics requirements of the business
Who are we looking for?
Degree in HR or similar level qualifications in subjects such as maths, statistics, sciences, business intelligence
Experience in a Remuneration and Benefits role, preferably 4+ years
Experience working on or leading an Annual Remuneration Review, including budget and allocation modelling for fixed remuneration and incentives, and providing advice to managers
Advanced excel and numeracy skills
Agile mindset with adaptable communication skills
An ability to influence via strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
