ABOUT THE ROLE
- Part Time Fixed Term to 30 June 2024 (22.8 hours per week)
- Salary $88,767 pro-rata + 10.5% superannuation
- Rostered Day Off and Hybrid Working Arrangements
The role will coordinate commercial renewable energy developments in South Gippsland to effectively implement initiatives, build capacity and strengthen local partnerships by working with industry, education and government agencies to support an environment of innovation and investment in the Shire.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in business or relevant field / discipline and industry experience in new energy developments or a related field or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in assisting businesses.
- Understanding of state and federal government energy and climate policies, regulation and regulatory authorities eg AEMO, VicGrid.
- An understanding / overview of planning procedures of State and Local Government.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to project manage a variety of projects related to economic development business assistance and public events.
- Understanding of and commitment to stakeholder engagement.
- Persuasive communication skills sufficient to gain the cooperation of both internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- High level oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a highly political environment and to successfully manage negative issues.
