Address As a Barclays Research Analyst - Insurance, you will have the opportunity to break down industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of the Insurance Senior. You will have the opportunity to research, analyze and forecast the impact of financial trends as well as varying corporate strategies. What will you be doing?
• Building and maintaining financial models and industry databases for evaluating companies and market segments
• Reviewing business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings and other sources in order to gather, synthesize and interpret data on companies followed by team
• Preparing research reports varying in size and scope from quick briefs on earnings results or strategic events to more in-depth, original thought pieces on a range of topics
• Writing research reports
• Communicating recommendations to sales, trading, management teams, institutional investor clients and other important stakeholders
• Developing marketing materials for clients and attend industry conferences where appropriate
What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in FIG (Financial Institutions Group) / Insurance investment research or investment banking
• 5+ years of experience in business modeling, financial statement analysis, and working with large data sets is required
• 5+ years of experience in written and verbal communication skills
• Passionate about the subject matter and deep understanding of covered companies is preferred

• FINRA registrations: SIE, Series 63, Series 86, Series 87
• Problem solving skills and a resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit with proven managerial qualities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment with an ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills
Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria and fitness center.
