About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a
Research Fellow to contribute to the program of work in economic evaluation and health technology assessment (HTA). This includes undertaking independent research, commissioned work and performing critical appraisal of evidence submitted as part of health technology assessments. The latter forms a key component of the role; evaluating submissions to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) and preparing health technology assessment reports for the Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) or other HTA agencies. In addition, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop modelled cost-effectiveness analyses, analyse clinical trial and patient data, prepare high quality written reports and peer-reviewed journal articles and contribute to researcher-initiated projects.
Detailed DescriptionAbout YouWorking in a team and individually, you will utilise your previous experience in
Health Economics, HTA or health services research. Other requirements include:
- A post-graduate degree in Health Economics, health services research, statistics, public health, epidemiology, pharmacy or equivalent
- Track record of peer reviewed publications
- Experience in writing grant applications and research proposals and responding to tenders.
- Experience in disseminating research results.
- Experience in leading research projects
Remuneration/SalaryBase Salary Range: $119,475 to $141,405 pa (Level B)This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.The position is full time and will be made on a 2-year fixed term basisUTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.
