The Opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, is the largest faculty at Monash University, and offers the most comprehensive suite of professional health training in Victoria. Setting the global health care agenda, the Faculty aspires to lead in all areas of research activity and influence local, national and international policy to improve health and social outcomes and health inequalities.
The incumbent will be accountable for overseeing and delivering high-quality research services to support the operations of the Treg Therapies Group. The role will also involve performing a range of significant and complex research activities that play a critical role in supporting the delivery of specific program outcomes funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and industry partners.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for:
The conduct of research under limited supervision either as a member of a team or, where appropriate, independently
Development of a limited amount of research-related material for teaching or other purposes with appropriate guidance from other staff
Experimental design and operation of advanced laboratory and technical equipment or conduct of advanced research procedures
Involvement in professional activities including, subject to availability of funds, attendance at conferences and seminars in the field of expertise
The successful appointee will have a doctoral qualification(s) in the relevant discipline or a closely related field with high-quality research outputs as lead author in the field of immunotherapies for autoimmune diseases and experience developing IP protected novel immunotherapies that induce immune tolerance within a pharmaceutical company.
