Support Charles Darwin University’s researchers to enhance their skills and navigate the research administration processes.
About the Position
As the Researcher Engagement Officer, you will work closely with researchers and other research-related staff throughout the University.
The role includes providing support for staff as they enter and track their own research activity data in the research information system and supporting understanding about research planning, performance, and impact. Key activities include induction of new researchers, provision of online resources and regular communications with researchers.
A key focus of the role involves coordinating ongoing collection and verification of research activity metadata, including publications data, into the research information system, oversight of showcasing activities including via the CDU Research Webportal, and assisting with collation of data for Commonwealth and University reporting exercises.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant field with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant work experience, education and/or training, including, for example, customer support experience, maintaining data within a database system, creating client-focused resources.
- Demonstrated experience in developing a range of online customer support resources, in coordinating and delivering training and outreach services to clients, and in developing and maintaining related internal process documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and providing an informed judgment that displays initiative, with an ability to independently configure information to meet client support requirements.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills for effective liaison with external stakeholders and with staff at all levels within the University.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and under limited direction in a corporate environment; including setting and achieving priorities and monitoring workflow in a busy environment with competing demands.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to thrive in a changing work environment.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at professional Employee Level 6. The base salary will be in the range of $84,931 – $86,323 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $99,369 - $100,997 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
