About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will enjoy advocating and supporting young people engaged in our out of home care service to reach their goals. This varied role entails a mix of directly supporting young people, coaching Youth Workers, stakeholder engagement and administration tasks.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
Conducting placement processes by receiving, assessing, placing and inducting new residents;
Completing thorough assessments and implementing outcomes including referrals to additional support services;
Developing, scheduling, facilitating, negotiating and recording care plans;
Engaging with residents to support in meeting their daily, short- and long-term goals;
Advocating for residents by coaching and linking with internal and external stakeholders.
Remuneration for this role is $46.72 – $48.83 per hour commensurate with experience.
About you
You are a leader who can coach team members to overcome hurdles and achieve shared goals. With great communication skills, you are capable of liaising comfortably with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:
A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline; or considerable experience in the provision of child protection services to young people in care and a willingness to undertake further training;
Demonstrated experience in the provision of care services to young people in a child protection context;
A minimum of P2 Drivers Licence;
Possess or has the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (working with children) and a Licensed Care Services (LCS).
