Odyssey NSW is seeking motivated and enthusiastic staff to join our team in opening and staffing our new Family Recovery Centre in Eagle Vale NSW. The Residential Support Worker role is generally a part time approximately 3 days per week with some rostered sleep overs.
There are multiple roles available.
The Odyssey Family Recovery Centre is a newly expanded program supporting parents (singles and couples) with their dependent children. The program provides support around AOD and Mental Health concerns as well as parenting and family and other support.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the Parent’s and Children’s Program (PCP).
- Supporting clients and their dependent children in meeting their treatment and parenting objectives as well as child welfare plans.
- Provide direct support to families including supervision of children as required.
- VET Certificate or Diploma in relevant area or in process of obtaining.
- Understanding of or experience with supporting people with AOD support needs and/or mental health support needs
- Demonstrated experience working within a residential or similarly complex program of facility
- Experience working to support children and/or parents and families, especially those with complex support needs
- Experience with group facilitation
- Experience working in a team environment to deliver coordinated support
- Computer literacy
- Hold a current NSW Driver's License.
- WWCC number (paid employment)
- Successful National Police Record Check
- Unlimited right to live and work in Australia.
