(AV) is seeking an experienced Resource Management Accountant to join our Operational Logistics Division to provide strong financial analytical support and aid in the maintenance of our Resource Management tools and prepare monthly resourcing reports.
This is a full time, permanent position currently based out of our Blackburn North Office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Resource Management Accountant, the Resource Management Accountant enables AV to make informed decisions and improve business practice by providing insight into understanding problematic or sensitive areas.
The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and enhance reporting systems to allow actual data to be compared to budgeted information.
Actively participate in change and continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the Resource Management tool or systems that it relies on
Responsible for monthly reporting of resource hours and overtime
Provide key point of contact for to assist in the lodgement of operational demand bids
Assist in the development of technical business process maps and documentation of the full end to end Resource Model build process with particular attention to operational processes
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and assist with the development of streamlined processes for the annual resource model
Contribute to efforts of a collaborative, high performing team
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this position your tertiary qualification in accounting or related field (or be studying towards) is accompanied by significant accounting experience. The ideal candidate will also possess:
Strong experience using data management systems and manipulating large data sets
Power BI, DAX, PowerApps and Power Automate skills will be highly regarded
Strong financial analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other relevant software applications
Knowledge of payroll, accounting, and costing systems
Interpersonal and influencing skills to gain the cooperation of others, acceptance, and support of ideas,
The ability to modify styles and techniques to accommodate tasks, situations and individuals
Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action for achieving long-range organisational goals

This position is graded at the AV4 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement plus 10.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade.
