Exceptional opportunity to join our Crew Planning team based at our Jilalan Depot in Sarina (near Mackay). Candidates will ideally have experience, or exposure to, resource planning (either workforce planning or other resources), but candidates with strong transferable analytical and data skills are also encouraged to apply.
About the role:
Developing and testing scenarios for improvements in how Aurizon utilises its train crew (deployment models and crew templates)
Creating reporting and undertaking analyses that drive crew planning decisions
Product ownership of roster planning systems and reporting suites, including vendor and stakeholder management
Internal stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of planning processes and outputs
Understanding the enterprise agreement and utilising its provisions to responsibly maximise crew efficiency
Occasionally required to perform the daily crew rostering duties to refresh process knowledge and provide leave coverage
About you:
Have an analytical mindset, with a solutions-focused approach, suited to effective management of resources
Ability to foster collaborative working relationships with varied stakeholders within the business
Previous exposure to Microsoft Power BI, and either already competent with DAX or have the capability and motivation to learn (based on advanced Excel foundation)
Capacity to understand relevant Enterprise Agreements, people issues and how these impact the business
High level of communication skills in providing clear and succinct verbal and written information
Ability to work well in a small team
