As Respite Officer at NoosaCare you will:

NoosaCare are seeking a Respite Officer, who will undertake a variety of functions associated with welcoming respite residents to NoosaCare.  

This is a fulltime, temporary role and can be flexible, for the right candidate. Critical to this role are exceptional interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and time management skills.  This position will undertake end to end respite functions, from the first enquiry to the resident departure. Undertaking the comprehensive and accurate record keeping including financial requirements. 

The respite officer will provide information and advice with respite residents and their families. This role is multi-faceted and requires creativity and an enjoyment in working in a fast paced and diverse environment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, administrative, organisational skills and high level of confidentiality. The Respite Officer must also demonstrate the ability to work independently and maintain high level of privacy and confidentiality and must be able to work under pressure.  

Key Performance Indicators include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage all client enquiries in a timely manner, identifying suitability for respite accommodation into the most appropriate area. 
  • Managing high levels of privacy and confidentiality in all admissions and NoosaCare operations.
  • Manage respite admissions and departures in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition for residents. 
  • Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, groups and organisations to build the reputation of NoosaCare within the Community and Aged Care Industry. 
  • Effectively promote NoosaCare’s facilities when and where required for future admissions and growth. 
  • Work with and as part of the Finance team to ensure that all resident service associated systems and financial requirements are met. 
  • Delivery of high quality, resident focused services. 
  • Responsible for the compliance, development, maintenance of procedures and forms for Admissions functions with the approval and endorsement of the Executive leadership Team. 

About you: 

You will bring enthusiasm and professionalism to the role and be passionate about delivering high quality work. As part of the Admissions team, we are looking for someone that has: 

  • You will bring tertiary qualifications or experience in a similar role. 
  • Experience in providing exceptional customer support service, preferably in a Not-For-Profit organisation. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability and experience in responding and delivering against competing priorities. 
  • Maintenance of high level of privacy and confidentiality. 
  • Have an eye for detail, strong work ethic and a drive to ensure quality service provision to residents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
