The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. The Group comprises of a Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, an Executive Lounge, 532 guest rooms, 12 meeting spaces and 3 restaurants, collectively totalling 1800m2. Located near the DFO shopping outlets, it is the first accommodation, meeting and event space developed in this precinct.
We have an exciting new opportunity available for a Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our dynamic team at Catalina Restaurant, located at the Novotel Brisbane Airport. Catalina is a vibrant and inviting restaurant with a warm atmosphere and quality food. Our aim is to provide an excellent dining experience for all our guests.
This role takes charge of both restaurant & bar operations and reports directly to the General Manager. We are seeking a passionate and energetic person who can lead, train, develop and inspire our already wonderful team. You must be able to think on your feet and make decisions on the spot, not two days are ever the same!

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Coordinate and motivate staff to ensure high productivity
Lead and coach a diverse F&B team including recruitment, training, development and performance management
Maintain a constant focus on providing excellent, memorable guest experiences
Contribute to a culture of care and safety, ensuring it becomes a way of life within the business
Liaise closely with all outlets, guaranteeing consistent service standards align with the respective outlets positioning and pricing points
Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food, Liquor Costs and Payroll
Handle guest requests & complaints with confidence and in a professional manner
Ensure staff are upselling food and beverage items
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a variety of Food & Beverage Supervisory roles, including restaurant and bar
Passion for the hospitality industry
Have a “can do” attitude and a friendly demeanor
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including late finishes, weekends and public holidays
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service and products
Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (mandatory)
Well-groomed and professional in appearance
