Restaurant Manager (Operation Manager)

Position Summary:

This position is hands-on coordinating and management of the daily operational activities to ensure effective and productive flow of service and liaising between back of house and front of house

Job Type - Full Time - Salaried Position

Hours of work:

• Hours as needed, including administration duties and service Wed-Sat

Essential Criteria:

• Proven ability to plan, develop and implement operational development strategies especially in Restaurant Hospitality.
• Capable to review and improve operating procedures
• Sound operational and business acumen
• Oversee bookings and POS system
• Managing and supervision of the FOH team
• Excellent Communication skills
• Budgeting experience, ability to produce reports for bi-monthly board meetings
• Invoicing experience
• Sales and customer service experience
• Delegation of tasks
• Tech Savvy
• current NT Drivers Licence

Job Responsibilities:

• Review all tasks and report to Board on progress
• Ordering stock and controlling inventory of consumables
• Maintaining reports on cashflow and accounting, having them on hand and ready for Directors to review
• Rostering all staff, approving timesheets, and ensuring staff feel empowered to perform their roles.
• Work alongside the team as needed to ensure service is smooth and running at maximum efficiency
• Selling and upselling as needed, Review and accept deliveries, monitor equipment, Team start-up meetings to communicate menu items and upselling aims for the day
• Supervise and manage all staff follow WHS & OHS policies and procedures and ensure you and other staff operate safely and efficiently at all times
• Conduct regular WHS/OHS briefing with the team
• Attend and participate in ongoing training to increase skill and competence
• Work with HR Manager to ensure we are on track for each employee's training and development
• Oversee direct reports to complete daily opening and closing checklists, amending these checklists as needed.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with relevant educational qualifications

or

• 5 years of experience without the relevant educational qualifications

Eligibility to work:

• Authorised to work in Australia permanently without any restriction on hours.

Qualification:

• Diploma in Hospitality management
