You know retail, you know merchandising and you know people. You love providing the very best in customer service, interacting and helping your customers and your team.
Your role and your mission will be to assist the owners to improve the overall performance of the retail store by improving our merchandising, training and developing our small team and continuing to provide the high levels of customer service that we have become known for.
You will need to have some experience in retail management and merchandising. Ideally you have the ability to pick up technical information quickly as the nature of our work can be technical - an interest in chemistry, or physics would certainly be an advantage.
We are operating a web store which requires interaction with the web management for stock and promotions etc.
Your duties will include:
Managing the staff roster
Lead, motivate and manage the team
Nurturing and maintaining the relationships with our key suppliers
Purchasing and purchasing negotiations
Store presentation/merchandising
Work hours will be flexible depending on the time of year and on staff availability. Summer is a peak season so we are always very, very busy over the Christmas period and summer holiday season.
