Job description

This onsite position is located in the Newcastle, NSW region. You will primarily be working at our Executive hotel in New Lambton, with coverage across our other hotels required.

About the position

As a Revenue and Reservations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our reservations department and team, and maximising Revenue and profitability across our three hotels. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance revenue generation across various channels. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. In addition to this, you will work across our hotel front office operations to gain an ongoing understanding of our systems, team structure, and hotel guests. Key responsibilities will include:

- Maximise revenue by converting new enquiries, upselling, and confidently responding to queries regarding our properties
- Accurately input and access data in our reservations system
- Develop and execute revenue optimisation strategies to achieve business objectives and financial targets
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for revenue growth
- Monitor and evaluate pricing structures, discounting strategies, and revenue performance metrics
- Collaborate with hotel, marketing, and finance teams to align revenue initiatives with overall business goals
- Utilise data analytics and forecasting tools to assess revenue potential and make data-driven decisions
- Implement best practices in revenue management to enhance operational efficiency and profitability
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of revenue strategies, making adjustments as needed to optimise results
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting revenue management practices

This Full Time position is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend coverage required during peak periods.

Certifications required: RSA

About you

- You are a team player with prior experience in reservation management, pricing strategy, or revenue analysis, preferably in the hospitality, tourism, or travel sector.
- You have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
- You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- You are a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- You possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- You have an advanced knowledge of industry regulations, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
