Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Revive Retail Assistant. The primary purpose of the Retail Assistant role is to support the operations of the community recycling social enterprise business development. The Retail Assistant has primary day-to-day responsibility for optimising retail performance in delivering a unique and enriched customer experience.
Skills/Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the retail outlet is presentable to maximise sales opportunities and enhance customer experience
- Process sale to the Point of Sale system
- Assist in determining the price of goods
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Provide support to employees and job seekers engaged in community recycling operations
- Support the maintenance of fleet, machinery and premises
- Demonstrate a personal understanding of responsive ways of working with Aboriginal Clients, Staff and Communities.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Assist with restocking shelves and merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing any concerns
Qualifications:
1. Previous retail experience
2. Demonstrated experience in community waste and/or environmental education
3. Previous experience in assisting with the coordination of projects
4. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Current First Aid Certificate
2. Current Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
Other Requirements:
1. A current C Class motor vehicle license.
2. Ability to engage in regular travel (by road and air) inclusive of short stays away from home.
3. National Police Check
