Job Description: As an RF Broadcast Engineer at Racing NSW, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a range of radio frequency based technologies, including tracking systems and broadcast links. Working closely with our technical team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality data and video content to audiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain RF broadcast systems for live horse racing events.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on RF equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime during broadcasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement innovative solutions for enhancing broadcast quality and coverage.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in RF technology to recommend upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain documentation and records of RF system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining RF broadcast systems, preferably in a live event or sports broadcasting environment.
- Strong knowledge of RF principles, including transmission, modulation, propagation, and interference mitigation.
- Proficiency in operating RF test equipment, spectrum analysers, and signal generators.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
