A bit about the role
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a passionate self-starter to join the fast paced, dynamic and fun-loving Risk Unit.
Working closely with the Coordinator, you will contribute to the success of the team by delivering outstanding administrative and project support across a range of corporate governance functions, including: enterprise risk, enterprise compliance, business continuity, fraud and corruption control, child safe management, insurance, internal audit and audit and risk committee.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-pressured team environment and has experience in managing a number of competing projects and priorities. Your proactive nature coupled with your attention to detail and dedication to improving systems and processes will see you excel.
What you’ll do
- Supporting Audit and Risk Committee efficiency, coordinating activity for quarterly meetings, providing administrative support and communication of information to the Committee and management
- Maintain and continually improve the unit workplan and systems, procedures and processes in relation to administrative requirements that support unit efficiency
- Engage with people across the organisation, assisting in the planning, organisation and delivery of meetings, forums, events and engagement activities.
- Support the Coordinator in the preparation of documents and reports, for the Executive Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Committee and Council
- Contribute to continuous improvement of governance functions through planning and delivery of initiatives
What you’ll bring
- Experience in establishing, maintaining, and continually improving best practice administrative systems and processes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to build relationships, influence and engage.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal coupled with highly developed analytical skills
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft office products
- A positive, curious and flexible mind
