Wage rates
$3,634.20 - $3,913.60 per fortnight (76 hours) plus superannuation and leave loading benefits.
Dates
22/01/2024 - 19/01/2025 or
02/09/2024 - 31/08/2025 (aligned with UK clinical year)
Full 12 month contracts preferred, however other contract dates may be negotiated.
Position information
Our Resident Medical Officers (JHO and SHO) work a 76 hour fortnight with overtime paid above this. These positions undertake general rotations, with terms available in Medicine, Surgery, Emergency, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, O&G (Women's Health), Mental Health, Rural Hospitals, RFDS and Relief terms.
All recreation leave for our Resident Medical Officers are allocated in 5 week blocks. You will receive the opportunity to select your term and leave preferences upon successfully obtaining a position.
Relocation
Our Health Service will provide relocation (flight/drive) to Cairns for yourself and immediate family. We will also offer reimbursement on initial accommodation upon arrival in Cairns for up to 21 nights (up to $175.00 per night).
For domestic relocation we can also offer assistance with relocation of possessions/vehicle.
