The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Manager to join our Projects team.
This position is responsible for providing administration, management and leadership to staff working on all activities for the implementation of the RPTP Action Plan in the Rural Psychiatry Roadmap.
This role has specific focus to:
- Lead and manage staff, with the aim that the RPTP Action Plan is achieved to a high standard and quality.
- Monitor and manage timelines, milestones and key contractual deliverables for all elements of the program.
- Provide advice, reports, presentations and briefings to the Board, relevant Committees, working parties and management in relation to the implementation of the RPTP Action Plan.
- Prepare progress (and final) reports and financial statements which demonstrates effective and prudent management of the financial and human resources allocated and in alignment with contractual obligations, in consultation with the Executive Manager, Finance and Business Services and the Finance team.
- Provide reports, budgets, implementation plans, and government submissions in collaboration with Finance and other relevant College Departments.
- Work with College committees and working parties to facilitate appropriate governance of the program.
- Undertake consultation and liaison with all stakeholders to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Advocate for funding relevant to implement the RPTP, including additional rural training and training supervisor positions in each state/territory and the federal pre-budget submission.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health science and/or business are desirable.
- Experience leading and managing a team across multiple locations and/or working remotely, to successfully deliver projects/programs.
- Experience in liaising with and reporting to Government departments.
- Experience within a membership organisation or the not-for-profit sector will be an advantage.
- Proficient computer skills; advanced experience with Microsoft packages.
- Demonstrated evaluation and reporting experience.
- Demonstrated proven project/program management skills, including delivering within budget and on schedule.
- Ability to adapt information and communication style to suit the needs of different audiences.
- Highly developed written communication and computer literacy skills, including project scheduling to compile and develop professional high quality documentation and reports.
