ESS Support Services Worldwide leads the market in providing food and support services to major companies operating in the oil and gas, mining and construction industries in offshore and remote locations. The services ESS provides support in almost every aspect of daily community life in large-scale accommodation centres or villages. The Position
We are looking for safety professionals who have experience in areas such as catering, food safety, hotel services, maintenance and grounds, maintenance services and general safety.
Can you work in a fast-paced team environment coaching and mentoring all levels of the workforce towards a culture of safety excellence?
To fit these roles you will be able to demonstrate your understanding of implementing risk-based assessments, root cause investigation and the importance of understanding and applying human factors principles to the management of site-based teams.
You will be confident in working with teams as well as individuals, be confident to lead meetings, pre-starts and safety-related training and be confident and respectful when working with multiple stakeholders including internal stakeholders, the client and contractors.
Key Duties
- Work to a plan linked to site, team and individual KPIs
- Support a culture committed to the Compass Group HSEQ programs
- Undertake site inductions and support new team members as they embark on their journey with us.
- Monitor the implementation of operational safety, health, environment and QA policies and programs
- Undertake incident investigations and reporting
- Consult with site management and advise on HSEQ matters
- Ensure effective communication of HSEQ information across the site
- Drive safety behaviours and culture through Field Leadership activities
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS
- Cert IV Training & Assessing (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of two years of experience in Health and Safety, Environmental, Health or similar.
- Experience in incident investigations (ICAM preferred)
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and people safety in a hospitality setting (training also provided)
