Our work will take you in different directions

We currently have an opportunity within our south western region for a Safety Business Partner to join our SQE team, based in Perth, WA. (For the right candidate, we are flexible on location.)

What will you be doing? 

Working with all areas of the SA/WA teams to grow capabilities in all aspects of safety as applied to the installation, modernisation and servicing of lifts, escalators and doors;

  • Driving improvement of safety performance and safety culture
  • Achieving KONE's safety targets by developing and maintaining a safety focused culture
  • Overseeing the delivery of regular internal and external reporting requirements
  • Driving key projects with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Drive the sharing of safety related information throughout the business unit, including investigation outcomes and best practices
  • Implementing processes and procedures effectively to manage the safety of sub-contractors
  • Define safety target for budgets and for long-term planning to be approved by the line management.  
  • Actively engage with staff to coach, mentor and deliver safety training
  • Central to key workers compensation decisions and responsible for the health of our injury management and return to work coordination

What are we looking for? 

  • Relevant qualification (WHS Degree, Diploma or Cert 4 in safety or demonstrated in a related field.
  • Experience gained within a commercial environment – ideally construction, electrical, chemical or transport industries 
  • Able to communicate with individuals and teams – ability to engage and facilitate training 
  • Previous experience with workers compensation is highly advantageous 
  • Ability to coach, mentor, intervein to support stakeholders to meet expected standards.
  • An authorised driver’s license to meet the needs of site & meeting requirements
