Your role
As our business continues to grow, we are searching for a Safety Compliance Officer to be responsible for the implementation and transition of all changes to Ixom’s distribution supply chain, including management of all safety and compliance aspects across ANZ distribution.
This role will act as a major conduit between Ixom and third-party providers for on-going safety as well as transition of work; it will ensure our relationships are strong and based on a foundation of efficient operational standards and best in class safety systems.
As this role has a national focus there will be an element of travel required domestically across Australia in addition to some travel to New Zealand. We are very flexible on the location for this role whether you are based in Melbourne near our Head Office, Sydney, or another state in Australia.
Your responsibilities
Ensure supply chains operate within statutory and IXOM SH&E requirements
Responsible for the execution and process related to auditing of third parties associated with the storage and handling of our chemicals; this includes bulk & packaged transport carrier assessments, storage & tolling inspections, Chain of Responsibility inspections, and customer inspections
Conduct internal & external Awareness sessions
Share audit outcomes, and the effective roll-out of corrective actions from inspections
Work to integrate Australia & New Zealand supply chain SH&E systems and processes
Lead safety incident reporting relating to supply chain operations, ensuring the quality and timeliness of incident investigations
Influencing and supporting carrier selection process during RFQ, based on SH&E performance
Participate in Carrier Operational meetings to drive excellence
Lead Management of Change initiatives and implement new supply chains ensuring compliance to SH&E requirements
Actively monitor contracted carriers against performance
Your skills & experience
Prior experience in a complex Supply Chain operation
Auditing within Transport & Warehouse industry
Lead Auditor course and/or Project Management / Process Improvement qualifications
Detailed operational knowledge of Bulk Liquids & Packaged Dangerous Goods
Previous role that required the development of strong internal and external relationships
Demonstrated incident investigation skills (ICAM preferred)
