About the Position:
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced construction safety advisor or supervisor with a passion for high rise building projects. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a High Rise Construction Safety Advisor. This position is a Monday to Saturday roster for an initial 18-month duration, potential for extension.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the implementation of the company's health and safety policies on the construction site
Conduct regular hazard assessments and inspect work sites to identify potential risks
Provide recommendations to reduce or eliminate identified risk exposures
Train and mentor on-site personnel on health and safety policies and proper use of tools and equipment
Review and approve work permits for high-risk jobs
Investigate and report all accidents and near misses
Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Conduct all site inductions and collect relevant tickets and licences
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a construction safety advisor or supervisor
General knowledge of construction and high rise building projects
Demonstrated understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and manage a team
Relevant certifications in workplace health and safety (min Cert III)
