About the role

Select Plant Australia operates as part of the Laing O'Rourke Group and has one of the industry's largest and most diverse ranges of equipment, accommodation and tools to deliver on every type of construction project.

Laing O'Rourke is currently recruiting for a self-motivated Sales Coordinator to join the Select Plant Australia Team in  where they will provide a procurement service to meet customers plant and equipment hire requirements. This role is a hybrid role and location of the role is flexible based on the successful candidates location. We have various project sites around Melbourne and the role will also provide 2 days working from home per week. 

Key Responsibilities

- You will be conducting plant hire transactions to meet the demands of Laing O'Rourke major projects and external customers along with maintaining company procedures ensuring a high degree of accuracy and compliance is achieved for each hire agreement.

- You will also be supporting the best utilisation of Select own fleet of assets, and be processing a high volume of new hire and swap out opportunities to the Select Plant Australia branch network.


This role requires you to be in constant communication with customers, our supply chain, your team and the wider Select business.  The role is fast-paced and requires a high level of organisation and the capacity to continuously prioritise workload.

 

You will have

- Previous experience working in the Plant and Equipment Hire industry or alternatively, experience within Procurement/Purchasing & Office Administration fields will be highly regarded. You will hold high attention to detail with accurate and timely data processing skills. 

 

- Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills to process a high volume of customer requests as well as a good understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes will be required. The successful candidate must also possess intermediate MS Office package skills (in particular, MS Excel) and excellent data entry skills.
