At DIY HOME, we want to take the DIY Blinds experience further into the home, so customers across Australia can purchase kitchens, laundries, wardrobes, vanities and flooring – all online. No high-pressure sales to make a decision, no fake discounts that expire the same day, no commissions and no risk of a fly by night kitchen company.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a hard-working and highly motivated Kitchen and Flooring Design Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with experience in kitchen design and sales, an understanding of cabinet making with a flair for design and an eye for detail. You will be solution oriented and be an excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate with cabinet makers, customers and delivery drivers.
Our kitchen designer will service clients from the first meeting to final delivery. You will bring a fresh perspective and generate exciting ideas, actively identify new opportunities and work hard to delight our customers. You will be a problem solver with the ability to think quickly and ask for help, if needed.
You resume will demonstrate your time management and organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects. In this role, you will succeed if you show initiative to implement best-practice processes and workflow for client servicing.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of kitchen design experience
- Exposure to retail and customer service environments
- Strong sales knowledge and proven experienceExperience using design software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organisation skills
- Great problem-solving skills and resilience
- Boundless self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An appreciation for compliance, attention to detail and quality control
- Cabinet Making experience will be a bonus
- Flooring Industry experience will be a bonus
