The Job
A key member of the Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) International Television Distribution team, the Sales Manager will be responsible for contributing to driving revenue growth across Australia and New Zealand.
Working closely with the Director, Sales and Operations this role will support deal negotiations, content distribution strategy, analysis, deal models, term sheets and long form agreements across the TV market. With a set account list, the role will be expected to develop and maintain client relationships and partnerships as you work to achieve revenue targets and budgets whilst also looking to expand market share through exploring new revenue streams.
As part of a passionate team, the Sales Manager will engage with a broad number of internal stakeholders and team members, ensuring a general understanding and administrative capability within WBD operation systems and processes.
The Daily
Proactively drive revenue from the licensing of WBD TV content across all platforms in Australia & New Zealand.
Proactively develop and maintain strong professional relationships with partners and clients.
Look for additional opportunities within these deals to drive revenue growth and the reach of WBD franchises and programs.
Responsible for a set of key clients and maximise revenue across Australia & New Zealand.
Responsible for driving the relicensing of series and features across set clients in Australia & New Zealand.
Partner closely with TVD Account Managers to ensure all priorities are met.
Analyse the WBD product inventory and, based on client needs/market trends, develop new ways to increase revenues for Australia & New Zealand.
Maximise sales opportunities within the WBITVP catalogue.
Work closely with all WBD divisions (Networks, Consumer Products, Home Entertainment and Theatrical) to ensure that key properties are licensed in Australia & New Zealand.
Participate in key forecasting and planning projects as directed by Director of Sales and Operations and Director of Business Analysis and Planning.
As part of the broader Sales and Operations team, be involved in the administration of processes and systems, including accurate data entry, reporting and forecasting/planning.
Work closely with the Marketing team to facilitate potential sales as well as post sales servicing.
Work closely and effectively with key stakeholders across WBD in the US (WB International Production, Legal, Contract Management, Rights Management, Finance divisions).
The Essentials
5+ years work experience in the media business with direct sales exposure.
Knowledge of and experience in TV licensing and sales negotiation.
Experience working in fast paced environments will conflicting and shifting priorities.
Experienced presenter, negotiator and influencer.
Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking.
Strong decision making and problem-solving capabilities.
High level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal and external parties to drive results.
Responsible, accountable and results-oriented.
Ability to work across multiple brands and business areas, cross-company across multi-task and handle tight deadlines under pressure.
